SETFIA signs Fishery Improvement Plan
The South East Trawl Fishery is Australia’s largest finfish trawl fishery. In collaboration with WWF, Coles is supporting the South East Trawl Fishing Industry Association (SETFIA) to further improve their fishing practices and in doing so, reduce their environmental impacts.
SETFIA has entered into a four-year Fishery Improvement Project, a voluntary program covering a range of issues including better management of target stocks, reducing bycatch and avoiding other adverse environmental impacts.
This excellent video explains the initiative.
