GOOD FOOD MONTH AT SYDNEY FISH MARKET
In October, Sydney Fish Market once again celebrates Good Food Month in style, with events scheduled to excite the most ardent of foodies.
Each Friday in October, customers are invited to join some of the city’s leading chefs on a Behind the Scenes Tour of Sydney Fish Market. Commencing at 6.30am, the tour will include access to the Market’s auction floor to view the day’s catch, plus tips on choosing and using the freshest fish and crustacea. The tour will conclude with a special Oyster tasting, hosted by Oyster expert Wayne Hulme from Christie's Seafoods.

In addition to Behind the Scenes Tours, SFM will also be conducting ‘Get Fresh With Fish’ demonstrations at the Sydney Seafood School from 11am every Tuesday for the duration of Good Food Month.
Developed by Sydney Fish Market, ‘Get Fresh With Fresh’ has been held in Sydney and regional areas for more than eight years. The popular travelling road show debunks the myth that seafood is difficult to prepare. Using surprisingly easy tips, participants are shown how to take affordable, lesser-known fish species and turn them into delicious seafood meals in minutes. Participants watch a 60 minute cooking demonstration, followed by a tasting and are given a Market Pride® seafood goodie bag to take home.
‘Get Fresh With Fish’ will he held at the Sydney Seafood School (located at Sydney Fish Market), every Tuesday during Good Food Month, from 11am. It is free of charge, but places are limited.
