Some dads want to be left alone with a beer and a plate of something he didn’t have to cook. Some want the whole family around a table for three hours. Some just want really good coffee and to be told his jokes are funny. Whoever your dad is, Sydney Fish Market has a way to spoil him this Father’s Day.

The Social Dad

Never buys his own drink

He’s the one already chatting to the table next to you. Take him to Mani Restaurant, where his first drink is on the house. A glass of wine or a beer from the drinks list on them, available Father’s Day only, no bookings required, so it’s an easy one to walk into.

T&Cs: Minimum spend $80 per adult. Dine-in only, one free drink per dad. Father’s Day only.

The Dad Who Has Everything

Impossible to buy for — until now

You got him tools last year, and socks every year before that and now you’re stuck for ideas. Olivetta has actually solved it with nine Father’s Day bundles built around the things he’d never buy himself — an olive oil and cookbook set, a martini set with olive brine, an Australian-made soap and huon pine holder, even a full shaving bundle with beard balm and oil. Bundles run from $50 to $155, plus a free gift box when you buy three exta virgin olive oils or balsamics.

T&Cs:In-store only, while stocks last. Not in conjunction with any other offer. Ends 6 September 2026.

The Feast Dad

Bigger is always better

If his idea of a good time is a table that can’t hold any more plates, the Market’s got three ways in. Book a table at Tam Jiak for dad this Father’s Day and receive 50% off mud crab— a proper feast, no shortcuts.

Or, head to Hamsi Taverna for a $110 Father’s Day set menu (à la carte also available), for lunch or dinner service.

For something a little different, Ichié is running a Father’s Day special built around a whole salt-baked snapper, alongside a 3-course set menu, available throughout the day.

Tam Jiak T&Cs: Available 4–6 September 2026, select timeslots (2:30–4:30pm and 8–9pm), dine-in only. Minimum 3 pax per booking, $100 deposit required, 1x mud crab per booking.

Hamsi T&Cs: Set menu from $110pp. Lunch and dinner service from 11:30am, Sunday 6 September 2026 only. Bookings highly recommended.

Ichie T&Cs: Available 6 Sep only, while stocks last.

The Sweet-Tooth Dad

Dessert first, questions later

If dad’s the type to order dessert before deciding on mains, there’s a whole trail of takeaway treats worth building into the day. Green Valley Goes Nuts has a spread of roasted nuts, biscuits and specialty sweets— perfect for sharing on the drive home. Sergio brings European-style pastries, cakes and biscuits if dad prefers his sweets with a sit-down and a coffee. Round it out with a Portuguese tart or two from Tavira Bakehouse, or pastries from Luneburger German Bakery so dad remembers you are his favourite well into the week.

The Dad Who Runs on Coffee

Doesn’t talk before the first cup

For the dad who measures a good morning by the coffee in it, Stitch Coffee has released the Compadre Blend — a Colombian and Nicaraguan mix with a hit of natural Ethiopian coffee, built for dads – the confidants, companions, comedians and champions in your life. Grab a 250g bag for $25 or try it on bar as the base of your next milk coffee for just $1 more.

T&Cs: $25 for a 250g bag. On bar for +$1, 31 August – 6 September 2026. While stocks last.

The Just-How-He-Likes-It Dad

Very specific about the sauce

Some dads know exactly what they want and exactly how they want it cooked. At Nicholas Seafood  and Peter’s Sydney Fish Market, that’s the whole point. Let dad select from their live seafood tanks and choose the cooking style, then let them do the rest.

T&Cs: Available while stocks last.

The Easygoing Dad

Just happy to be here

If low-key is his whole personality, take him to BigFish or GetFish, spend $100 or more on Father’s Day and get a free schooner or takeaway beverage thrown in. No fuss, no fanfare, just a cold one on the house.

T&Cs: Spend $100+ get a free schooner or takeaway beverage. Available 6 September 2026, 10am–7pm. Must be 18+, limit one per transaction, while stock lasts.

Or, if he’d rather grab a sandwich and call it a day, TJ’s Po Boys has him covered with Southern US-inspired Po Boys and craft beers always on hand.

Still deciding what to get him?Sydney Fish Market Experience Voucher is redeemable across Sydney Seafood School cooking classes and the Market’s Tours program.
