Lings, Cusks & Tusk

You probably won’t have seen a whole Pink Ling before. They look a little like a hairless junkyard dog, covered in slime, with a permanent snarl that implies an imminent bite. But fear not, because one of the weirdest-looking groups of fish is one of the most normal to eat. With their big, meaty fillets, with a neutral flavour, equally at home on the BBQ, in a curry, or making up the bulk of a fish pie, these fish tend to be great introductory species for fish first timers.
