For their 10th edition, Sydney Contemporary is taking contemporary art further than ever before, bringing ambitious commissions beyond the Fair and into the city.
Supported by Destination NSW, Sydney Contemporary extends beyond Carriageworks with new public installations including at Sydney Fish Market, before continuing through 12 large-scale installations at the Fair, curated by José Da Silva.
Reko Rennie’s striking installation brings histories of Aboriginal culture and identity to Sydney Fish Market through his distinctive geometric patterning and urban iconography. Free to visit, located in the Civic Plaza, Sydney Fish Market from 27 August until 13 September.
