Paul Boothby
Paul Boothby began his working life as a solicitor, before deciding to turn his love-of-wine hobby into a full-time career. He bought The Wine House liquor store in Sutherland and concentrated on developing fine wine sales, being named in Sydney's Top 20 fine wine liquor stores by The Sydney Morning Herald in 1990.
In 1994 he sold the store to concentrate exclusively on wine, becoming Technical Manager of The Wine Society and later Wine Buyer for David Jones Limited. His love of Champagne saw him awarded the Vin de Champagne Award (Professional Section) in 1994, Champagne's Saint Vincent Award in 2000, then the Order des Coteaux Champenoise in 2003.
He became Brand Manager for Henschke wines and Campagne Bollinger for Fine Wine Partners in 2000 and remains in those positions.
