Sydney Fish Market brings you Get Fresh With Fish, our promotional program aimed at encouraging local communities to embrace their locally caught seafood species.
By carrying out seafood cooking demonstrations using selected Australian species which are caught by local fishermen, Sydney Fish Market seeks to support the fishermen’s cooperatives and producers based in metropolitan Sydney and regional New South Wales by showing locals how tasty and easy cooking with local fish species can be.
This year, the event has been broadened in conjunction with the Aussie Seafood - Brought to you by Our Fishermen initiative to include lots more vents and a local fisher to chat through his experiences at each demonstration.

Get Fresh With Fish demonstrations will be held on the Sydney Fish Market fishermen’s wharf at 11:30am, 1:00pm and 2.30pm. Each 45-minute demonstration will be followed by a free tasting. No bookings required.

The SFM team will host Get Fresh With Fish seafood cooking demonstrations every day at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in the Australian Woman’s Weekly Taste of the Show Theatre Kitchen. Times to be advised.
